100 Word Challenge Week 23

It was February of 1915, World War I broke out almost a year earlier. The city of Caen, France was under siege by the invading German Empire. Howitzers bombed the city, trying to force the city to surrender. The French forces still had supply lines, though, but the Germans were destroying the trains and trucks. Eventually, the city was turned to rubble. The French Police and National Guard searching for survivors, the collapsing buildings sinking into the ground. The red stained pavement, and the coins flying everywhere. People climbed on the ladders to get a good view. The Germans were coming.

    Nice work on your first post! I liked the strong vocabulary words you chose like siege and rubble. In the future, don’t forget to highlight or bold the 5 words in the story that are from the 100 Word Challenge. Also, reread before you publish. You have 2 incomplete sentences – the one about the collapsing building and the one about the stained pavement. But again, good work on the first one! Keep on writing!
